
Three portals comprise the IdeaPoint Virtual Catalogue: vendor portal, customer portal and administrative portal. The vendor portal helps to manage products and provides information on listed products. Language properties for products can be set in English or French languages. This portal encourages the creation of new products and editing of existing products, while prompting the user if an edited product has orders against it. The vendor portal also allows for the uploading of promotional multi-media material for products and provides initial import capabilities for new vendors, while permitting bulk maintenance via excel spreadsheets.
The customer portal offers bilingual customer login, customized product listing based on store region and program participation with rich media advertising space available for purchase by manufacturers.
The administrative portal allows the creation and editing of vendor accounts, authorizes vendors for listing products, approves individual listed products and approve new categories and promotional offerings.
